Description

The AM 155 was an adapter for turntables where you could take 78 rpm speed on the turntable and locating this device on top, the turntable would serve as the motor for this tape deck adapter to deliver 19 cm/ sec tape speed. A number of companies made these types of devices, but in retrospect, did this make any sense? Were they much cheaper than buying a tape deck?

The AK 154 amplifier (pictured) was sold as an option with this curious device.

The tube complement of the 155 was 6AU6 x 2, 6AQ5 & 6X4
