Additional Description

The Teac AL-700 is considered to be the best Elcaset machine that was manufactured. Super robust construction with plug-in boards that make it very easy to service, compared with the Sony models. Where the Sony EL-7 with its similar dual capstan sometimes has trouble with older tapes spooling on the Capstan shaft destroying the tape, this model does not, a serious benefit. Housed in a cast aluminium frame, the dual capstan transport with 3 motors runs two capstan belts. One runs to and from the capstan motor spinning the capstan flywheels, the other, just for the capstan flywheels.
AL-700s are hard to find these days as they produced far fewer than the EL-7.
