Company description

Currently known as JVC, they were incorporated in 1927 as the Victor Talking Machine Company of Japan and were  a subsidiary of the Victor Talking Machine Company in the US. they were purchased by RCA in 1929 and that is when the JVC name emerged.

In 1938, RCA sold its minority interest to Tokyo Shibaura electric company (which would become Toshiba) and were now 100% Japanese owned.
