Akai GX-280D reel to reel audio recorder. Great condition. No scratches or marks of any kind. Has original dust cover. One owner. Recently used is in excellent working condition. Probably needs service as far as general maintenance. Shipping is available for a additional fee.

Description

This was a two-speed (7½ & 3¾ ips) quarter-track stereo recorder with a 7″ reel capacity, four glass & crystal ferrite heads and automatic and manual reverse (playback only). The transport comprised three motors. an AC servo motor for direct capstan drive and two Eddy-current outer rotor reel motors.
Other features included built-in reel retainers for vertical operation, sound-on-sound, automatic stop, tape selector switch, expanded VU meters, dual monitoring, line/mike mixing and remote control of all operating functions (with optional RC-16 remote control unit).
