Description

New for 1964, the STB 2
was the pride of the Brenell range.  Selling for about £180 (Australian)
it boasted “twin recording and replay amplifiers, half track mono/stereo
recording facilities and half track/quarter track stereo facilities.”

Three Papst motors were utilised and the recorder had an 8¼ inch reel
capability. (An alternate model, the STB 510/2 had a 10½” reel capacity)
A built-in four channel mono / two channel stereo mixer was a standard
feature as were twin “edge” type VU meters.
