Description
The success of the Sound
Master prompted Brenell to launch a 7″ machine of their own. Originally
called ‘The Brenell’, it was essentially the same deck as the Sound Master,
though smaller, with transport selector controls repositioned either side
of the head cover.
Three Collaro motors were once again utilised, but the heads were now
of Brenell’s own manufacture – indeed Brenell made many of these heads
for Collaro.
The cabinet was of a much smaller profile and featured an inclined pre-amplifier
panel – a design which established the hallmark Brenell layout for later
models.
