In the opinion of Chuck Z, the Crown authority, this tape recorder can be refurbished and brought back to life but not an inexpensive proposition. For those interested in playback only with tube electronics it would be a good bet but don’t count on this being anything like the later models that Crown produced.
Pictured with the tape recorder is a 30w tube stereo amplifier, the Crown SXA which was available as an add-on.
