Description

Having similar facilities
to the Teac A-3340, this 3-motor, 3-head recorder was a budget-priced
alternative for the home studio owner.
The 8140 permitted 4-track multi-sync recording and had Molybdenum heads
with an ‘original owner lifetime guarantee’
Features included solenoid operation, electronic echo effects, speeds
of 7½ and 3¾ ips, mic/line mixing, adjustable tape equalisation
and a 7″ maximum spool capacity.
Priced in the UK in 1975 at about £390 (excluding VAT).
