Description

The Bandbox utilized an Italian “Incis” tape deck and had two speeds – 1 & 3¾ ips. It was a half-track recorder with a 2-watt amplifier and an internal 7 x 4-inch elliptical speaker. The amplifier could be used in “straight-through” mode. This was quite a small recorder, 10½ x 9 ” x 6″ and weighing 12lbs. The maximum size spool was 3½
inches. Inputs were provided for radio, pick-up, and microphone, (a crystal mike was provided) and a headphones jack was provided for monitoring. Modulation was via magic eye and a large clock-type position indicator was situated between the small reels.
