model 37-C, with the addition of a hi-fi output.
From an early 1956 New Product Report:
“… The FME company is now marketing their model 47-A, dual track
recorder. This machine has a frequency response of 50 to 12kHz, 3¾ & 7½ ips speeds, less than 0.5% wow, single knob
control, fast forward and rewind, radio-phono input jack, erase safety
lock, straight in-line threading and a power pilot light. It also
features a reversible automatic counter and comes complete with a ceramic
microphone, reel of tape, take-up reel, detachable power cord and patch
cord. The price is $159.50
