This was a single speed recorder – 4.75 cm/s (1 7/8 ips) with half track mono heads.

The grey band at the front which looks like a radio tuner is actually a tape position indicator, a needle showing the length of the tape used and at grey knob at left with which you can reset the scale to zero.
