Description
The Heimstudio (home studio) 45500 was a stereo tape deck using a Truvox Series 90 three-motor tape transport.
Manufactured by Ing. Franz Leben of Dachau, it was sold exclusively through the ‘Quelle’ mail-order and department stores.
The 45 500 was designed for horizontal as well as vertical operation and was fully transistorised. Features included two speeds (3¾ & 7½ ips), piano key push button transport controls, easy tape threading, twin VU meters, input mixing, front panel DIN input/output connections and three heads with off-tape monitoring.
Price when new (in Germany) was 950.00 DM.
