Allied Radio’s lowest cost model for 1962, the KN 4035 was a mono half-track tape recorder with 7″ reel capacity, two-speeds, a 6-watt amplifier and a five-inch speaker.
Features (limited as they were) included a ‘rich’ blue and gray leather finish, provision for recording from microphone, radio, TV or phono, output for playback through external speaker, record level indicator, record safety interlock to prevent accidental erasure and tape footage ‘guide’ on the deck plate.
