Description
The RK-710 was a simple mono half-track recorder with three speeds, seven inch reel capacity, 1.5 watt output and internal 3 x 5″ speaker.
Features included horizontal or vertical operation, single rotary-style transport function control, illuminated VU meter, volume and tone controls, record safety button and all solid-state electronics.
The actual performance of the RK-710 was what you’d expect from a recorder priced at $US64.95 – at 7½ ips the frequency response was 60Hz -12kHz with wow and flutter at 0.25%.
