Description
An earlier valve version of the EL 3586. This machine was also known as the R9 and the “Starmaker”. A single speed (3¾ ips) half-track recorder, this machine utilised a hybrid circuitry consisting of three valves and one transistor.
The fairly simple transport controls consisted of three keys on the head
block (rewind, play and fast forward) and one record button on the right
of the headlock which worked in conjunction with the play button.
