Additional Details

Description

TL-10 was a special tape playback-only unit, designed primarily for radio stations wanting tape playback facilities without the expense of a regular recorder. The player was hinge-mounted on and driven by a standard 16″ transcription turntable running at 78 rpm.
Tape speeds of 7½ and 15 ips could be selected by changing capstans and standard 7″ reels could be accommodated.
The TL-10 did not have any erase or record facilities. The single playback head and preamplifier produced an equalised output suitable for a standard microphone input.
Price when new was $140.00
