Description

A compact four-track stereo
tape recorder from the Roberts company from around 1965 with two speeds, stereo 5″ x 7″ extended range
speakers, a single motor and single (switchable) VU meter.
This machine utilised valve circuitry in an age when most tape-recorders
were heading in the direction of solid state electronics.
Other features included
a three-digit tape counter, pause control, pre-amp outputs and a maximum reel capacity of 7″.
Speed change was implemented by means of a capstan sleeve.
