Description
A compact four-track stereo
tape recorder from the Roberts company from around 1966 with two speeds (7½ & 3¾ ips), two heads, 7″ maximum reel capacity, inbuilt stereo amplifier and 5″ x 7″ extended range speakers.
Other features included a single motor,
pause control, two
VU meters, automatic tape shut
off, sound-with-sound and 3-way speaker switch.
Model 1651 was identical to the 1650 except that the speakers were in detachable, hinged enclosures.
