Description

Released in 1969, Stellavox’s new battery portable recorder, designated SP 7, measured only 3 ins. x 8½ ins. x l0½ ins. overall and weighed in at under 8 Ib. complete with tape and batteries.

A truly professional machine it was available only to studios and industrial users, but it embodied many features of great interest to all amateurs. The SP7 was on a par with the Nagra 4. The super durable chassis was made from a block of machined aluminum.  5 inch reel capacity can be extended to 10 1/4 inches with an accessory ABR 85

Battery 12 x AA 1.5v, headphone stereo/mono switchable, Quartz speed control switchable on-off on the underside of the recorder.
