Released in 1969, Stellavox’s new battery portable recorder, designated SP 7, measured only 3 ins. x 8½ ins. x l0½ ins. overall and weighed in at under 8 Ib. complete with tape and batteries.
A truly professional machine it was available only to studios and industrial users, but it embodied many features of great interest to all amateurs. The SP7 was on a par with the Nagra 4.
