Additional Details

Description

A low-budget workhorse, the 1800 was a fully transistorized quarter-track stereo tape deck with two heads and a single speed of 3¾ ips. Like the model 1700, it had a maximum reel size of 5¾ ” and a single motor with two belts instead of the traditional figure-8 belt layout of previous models.
This recorder was very similar to the model 1700 but without an output stage and internal speakers.
Frequency response was a modest 40Hz – 13kHz and inputs were provided for microphone and radio/phono.
