Description
The Teac A-5010 appears to be the first recorder using a separate preamplifier in a series that ran for quite a few years. The series included the A-4010s, which arrived later followed by A-6010, A-7010 and A-7030. These were all solid-state whereas the 5010 had a tube based preamplifier, the AR-50.
