Additional Details

Description

New for 1970, the M 230 was a quarter-track mono machine (stereo playback was possible via an external amplifier).
A multi-function rotary switch on the head cover (a long-time standard on all 200 series machines since 1968) allowed a
wide variety of recording/playback options including stereo, mono and sound-on-sound.
Push-button controls were provided for stop, play, record, pause, fast forward and fast rewind and the unit featured
a clear perspex cover, Frequency response was a fairly unspectacular 60Hz -13kHz at 3¾ ips with wow & flutter
at equal to or less than 0.2%. This recorder was sold up until 1973.
