Description

The Uher 22 and 24 were half and quarter-track (respectively) stereo tape decks and the top of the range for Uher in 1966.
Features included 7″ reel capacity, twin VU meters, separate record and playback heads (the playback head had a variable azimuth) and switchable CCIR/NARTB equalisation.
Two speeds were provided. 7½ and 3¾ ips. and wow and flutter was claimed to be 0.1%.
Price (in the UK) when new was £135 , about the same price as Uher’s quarter-track model 784 fitted with twin 2 watt amplifiers and 5″ speakers.
