Description

The 7000D was Uher’s lowest price tape deck. It was a quarter-track stereo machine with two speeds, (7½ and 3¾ ips), two heads and a seven-inch reel capacity.
Controls were simple and consisted of a rotating power switch which also selected tape speeds, three push keys and a slide bar (for play, stop, pause fast forward and rewind) and a red record button. Two VU meters (uncalibrated but divided into red and black sections), a four-digit counter and two level controls made up the rest of the top panel. Auto stop was available by fitting foil strips to both ends of the tape and input/output connections were of the 5-pin European DIN variety.
