Description
The Unitra M-3401SD was the 4 track model and 3201 the 2 track model. These were based on the design of the Revox A700 and the 3401 was released in 1979 and 3201 in 1980.
Unitra used some parts from other manufacturers such as Revox heads and pinch rollers, Papst motors and a counter from Grundig.
When it was released, it was not available in retail stores but could be bought through the Ministry of culture, with their consent. when the economy collapsed in the mid 1980s, it became available at retail but at a price that was above the average persons monthly salary.
