Description

This
was a half-track monaural recorder having two speeds: 3¾ &
7½ ips.
Looking at the main picture, the controls are
(from left to right on the lower chrome pane)l:

On/Off/Volume control, tone control, record level indicator, microphone
input, extension speaker jack.  and on the upper black panel: tape
counter, record lock, function selector with the speed change selector
above the head cover between the reels.
The Compact Deluxe could handle 7″ reels
and had a single motor. Two heads were employed and a 3″ x 5″
elliptical internal speaker was fitted.
