Description
Th2611 Royal was a half-track mono recorder. with two motors and two record – playback heads, which, in conjunction with the tape directional control, permitted dual-track recordings without having to turn and re-thread the tape.
Features included an electronic eye recording meter, auto shut-off at either end of the tape, a three-digit tape counter, 8-watt audio output, and a single six-inch internal speaker. The Royal could be fitted with a solid-state radio. A deluxe version of this recorder, 2612 Royal Coronet was also available, identical to the 2611 but with
two 6″ speakers plus a 4″ tweeter, giving a slightly extended frequency response.
