Additional Details

Description

This machine was identical
to my 1955 Knight – It was a half-track mono recorder with two speeds
(3¾ and 7½), two heads and a 7″ reel capacity .
Tape transport was manipulated via the five piano-key push buttons at
the front and the knobs at either side controlled tone (left) and on the
right, volume – on/off.  Record level was indicated by two neon indicators
above the volume control, the left showing optimum level while the right
one indicated peak or overload.
Signal to noise ratio was 35dB minimum, fast forward and rewind speed
was less than 2¾ minutes for 1200 ft and inputs were provided for
microphone and radio-phono.
