Description
The Wollensak Model 1580
Stereophonic was a dual speed mono/stereo half or quarter-track machine
from around 1965.
It featured sound with sound, a 22 watt (11 watts per channel peak) audio power output for PA purposes
and a frequency response of 40 – 13kHz at 3¾ ips & 40 – 18kHz
at 7½ ips.
Controls included a digital tape counter, speed change, record left and
right controls, reverse and forward slide control, dual record level indicators,
volume left and right, preamp output and track selection chart built into
top cover.
