Description

Wollensak’s 5000 series comprised a range of transistorised, 4 speed machines each featuring a
central control panel, volume and tone controls, VU meter(s), 4-digit counter and automatic shut-off.
At 7½ ips, the frequency response was 40 -15kHz and wow & flutter less than 0.25%. Both vertical or horizontal operation was possible.
Transport was via ‘Power-activated push-button controls’ and a slim-style design made it possible to ‘hang it on the wall’, claimed a 1966 advertisement.
