Description

A three speed, two or 4
track mono recorder from Britain, utilising the popular 3-motor Collaro
“Studio” Transcriptor deck.
In fact, around about this time nearly 20% of all British tape recorders
incorporated this tape deck.  Its low wow and flutter characteristics,
versatility in head configuration (a third head could be fitted), fast
rewind time and price made Collaro a very attractive option for small
manufacturers such as the Wyndsor Recording Company of Bellevue Road,
Friern Barnet in North London
The “Trident” tape recorder accommodated 7″ reels, featured
magic eye record level indicator, 7″ x 4″ internal speaker,
an output of 4 watts, pause and tone controls and a three digit tape counter.
UK Prices in 1963:
£33 3s. for the two track model and
£35 5s. for the four track model
