Description

Originally released in 1956 by Byer, the Mk II bears a striking resemblance to the “66”.
However, specifications were improved and the 77 Mk II now conformed to
international CCIR standards.
Byer was bought out by the Rola company in 1957 who took over production
of recorders. The Byer badge remained on the Mk II for a year or so after the takeover before it was re-badged as the Rola 77 Professional. It was replaced by the
Rola 77 mk III in 1962.
