Cal-Western - USA

Company description

From the insert of a Cal-Western tape…

Stereotypes are purchased by us “as is” from AM/FM stations, rental libraries and individuals and are received in a wide variety of condition. Most of them are not in the original boxes, some have been rewound on other than the original reels, some have no identification on the middle. Generally, we have to re-box and reindex all the tapes thus received, in addition to carefully checking their condition and fidelity. Whenever possible we try to furnish our customers with the original box and real however when the condition of either or both is bad and would convey the impression of being severely used tape, we substitute our own box in real. Some of these tapes may have splices in them, but in no case of portions of the tape been cut out, or the original performance of the material serially affected.
In an effort to standardize our packaging, labelling and indexing of these tapes for resale we have adopted this type of box, real and label as explained above.
