For a brief period of time, in the late 1940s and into the Mid 1950s, Fairchild produced professional level recorders. listed in audio for the record 1955, was a console unit 126 at $2750. these were available in 7.5, 15 and 30 IPS speeds and were singletrack recorders. Very little information exists on this diversified company, that had a brief foray into tape recorders.
