Selling my late father in law's Lafayette RK-155. Tape doesn't move. Tubes light up and the audio output sounds like the amp may be working. Tape head cover missing.

Description

Described by Lafayette as ‘A Complete Recording Studio in One case’ , the RK-155 was the full recorder version of the RK-140 tape deck.
It was a quarter-track stereo machine with two speeds (7½ & 3¾ ips). three heads (with Mu-metal shielding). single 4-pole air-cooled induction motor with belt-drive for flutter-filtering. sound-on-sound. automatic tape stop. two 4 x 6″ wide-range speakers and a hybrid construction using 4 transistors (preamplifiers) and 7 tubes (main amplifiers & bias).
Price when new was $169.95 complete with two dynamic microphones, simulated leather case, patch cords and empty 7spool.
