Description

Not much is known about this early Magnetophon but it could possibly be one of the first domestic models from AEG. It is estimated that it was built in about 1950. Unusually, the reel platters are 10½ inches in diameter. almost all other AEG machines (from the earliest K-1 to the present day) had 12″ platters. The operation was basic (all the functions are in German). The recorder could play, record and rewind and had a magic eye to indicate record modulation. A separate unit housed the amplification electronics.
