Description

A rather strangely styled quarter-track stereo recorder, the ST-1 isn’t one of the more commonly
seen Akai models today.
Two speeds were provided, 7½ & 3¾ ips (facilitated by removable capstan) and reels of up to 7″ could be accommodated.
Using a solid state preamp and a tube output stage, the hybrid ST-1 had an output of 3 watts per channel.
