Description
Evolving from the 900 series, the 1200 Series (1250, 1260 and 1270) were all single motor, 2 speed recorders with three “precision” heads built to Ampex’s usual high standards. Two automatic shut-off positions for unattended recording or playback, automatic take-up, master selector switch, built in mixer with two mic/two line inputs and a single recording level meter that reads both channels by switching.
