Description

The Cipher V was a half-track
mono recorder with two-speeds (1
& 3¾ ips) and a 5″ reel capacity.
It came with the barest of facilities including a single neon light for
peak record level indication and a dynamic microphone.
Inter-Mark (the American company who distributed Cipher recorders in
the USA) inform us that the machine also had an automatic pause function
but what exactly that was is unknown!
An internal 6 x 3″ speaker was fitted and price when new (USA) was
$79.50.
