Description
The Crestwood 404 was a fairly full-featured tape recorder for its day with separate record / playback volume, selector switch which offered microphone , radio, phono plus a Tone control and headphone jack.
The relatively common magic eye offered record level visuals, the predecessor to a VU meter.
The Crestwood Tape recorders look similar to an Australian brand, Pyrox which were licensed from the Armour research foundation in the US. However they were made in the US by Daystrom
