The TD2 Monardeck (sometimes called Monarch) was the basis of the Ferranti RT-1044 (half-track) & 1069 (quarter-track) recorders. Both were single-speed (3¾ ips ) machines with a maximum spool size of 5¾ inches, a single motor and two heads. Retail price when new was approximately £25.
