Description

The Fidelity Playmatic recorder
featured three speeds and a maximum reel size of 7″.
Again the new BSR deck with simple joystick control was employed and
an automatic record level was selectable via a switch. This was considered
fairly radical and up-to-the-minute technology! Input mixing and super-impose
were also available.
This recorder was, like the 1965 Playmaster model, of a hybrid design,
utilising transistors and an EM 87 ‘magic-eye’ valve for level indication.
