Description
The TK 64 and it’s brother,
the TK60 were full stereophonic recorders for both recording and playback
as well as being designed for monophonic reproduction.
A single motor, two speed unit (7½ and
3¾ ips) the TK 64 was attractively styled in a beige and brown case
while the recorder itself was finished in a grey and green colour scheme.
Two heads, (a combined record / playback and
erase) were incorporated and the maximum reel size diameter was 7 inches.
The TK 60 came with two dynamic loudspeakers
in self-contained boxes comprising the lid of the tape unit when closed,
whilst the TK 64 had its own modest internal speaker system.
