Description
From the 1954 service manual:
The “Reporter” TK 9 is a portable dual track recorder and is able to record and play back in both directions.
It operates at a tape speed of 3¾” per second. The Electro-Magnetic change over from track one to track 2 position takes less than one second.
A precision built “clock type” position indicator is fitted to enable the exact location of a recording.
The TK 9 switches itself off automatically at the end of each reel of tape by means of metal foils.
Very similar to the TK 15/3D which had two speeds and three speakers.
