Description

This was a
low-budget, quarter-track stereo recorder, sold by the American company
Lafayette with their brand on it but made in Japan.
Features included three speeds (7½ , 3¾ &
1
ips), tape lifters, sound with sound, a 5-mode single tape function lever,
twin VU meters, single 4-pole motor, 7″ spool capacity and a laminated
combined record/playback head.
Two 3 x 5″ full-range speakers were driven by a solid
state 5 watt (maximum) amplifier.
