Additional Info

My passion for reel to reel was re-kindled about 15 years ago when, visiting a friend of my wife’s, I spied a machine just like this one sitting in a corner, green magic eye glowing and the soft, dulcet saxophone sounds of Stan Getz emanating
from the oval speaker at the front.  I offered to give it a much needed overhaul and borrowed it for a few weeks. After cleaning the tape path thoroughly, replacing the valves and most of the capacitors I recorded our friend some fresh music (she had been playing the same tape for 5 years!)
I decided then and there that I had to get one and ended up with about
six before my wife put her foot down. – Jeff R
