Description
This was a budget-priced quarter-track stereo tape deck which, in all likelihood was imported from Japan and re-badged by Radio Shack as Realistic Priced at $119.95 the TR-90 had three speeds, two heads and a seven-inch reel capacity.
Other features included tape lifters, automatic shut-off, dual VU meters, walnut cabinet, separate left and right volume controls and illuminated record interlock switches.
Performance was very ordinary, at 7¾ . ips the frequency response was 50 – 15,000kHz and wow and flutter 0.15%.
