Advertised by Tandberg as ‘an ideal family
tape recorder’, the Tandberg Series 14 was a two-speed (1 and 3¾ ips),
all-transistor mono recorder available in several versions, quarter or half-track, teak or rosewood wooden table-top case or completely portable in a suitcase-style carrying case.
Model designations were as follows:
Model 1421 (half-track table-top)
Model 1422 (half-track suitcase)
Model 1441 (quarter-track table-top)
Model 1442 (quarter-track suitcase)
Power output was 10 watts and bass and treble controls were provided for playback.
