One of the very first Technics tape decks made by National Panasonic in 1974, the RS-1030US had a 10½ inch reel capacity and tape speeds of 15 and 7½ ips.
This was a quarter-track stereo machine with three heads and three motors. Controls included bias and equalisation settings for normal or low-noise tape, large and small reel tension selector, separate line and microphone input level controls and a master input/mic mixing level control.
