Description
The R6 was built around Truvox’s Mk 6 deck which was a re-styled version of the mk4 tape deck and the fore-runner to the series 80. A two speed machine, it was available with half-track mono or stereo heads with three BTH motors (the later series 80 swapped to a Papst motor for the capstan drive).
Push button control and both mechanical and electrical braking were features that Truvox promoted in their advertising in 1959.
